Sponsored by Wachovia Finance, the College Prowler Monthly Scholarship opportunity allows college students the chance to win a $1,000 scholarship each month.The corporation is looking for the best college application essays around. If you’ve written an essay for any college application, send it in!

If it’s judged one of the best college essays in the nation, you’ll receive a $1,000 scholarship to be applied towards tuition, room and board, books and other educational expenses.

Plus, you’ll also receive 10 free College Prowler Guidebooks to help you make the right choice about which college to go to.

Whether you’ve already written an essay and been accepted to a college or still haven’t written an essay but are in the process of doing so, you can submit your work to be considered for the scholarship.

In order to apply, there are certain eligibility requirements. First of all, interested applicants must be a current high school or college student. Essays need to be 100% original and no more than 1,000 words in length.

Applicants must also be United States residents and are allowed one entry only. A new winner will be chosen each month until the contest ends.

Please include your full contact information when you apply using the online form. You must also include your age, current year in school and your school’s contact information. Please also include a valid e-mail address, as winners will be contacted via e-mail.

Scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the winner. Home schooled students are also eligible to apply, provided they comply with the other requirements.

The deadline for this month’s scholarship falls on July 13^th, 2007. Even if you do not win, your application will be kept on file until the contest ends in October.
