National Public Radio (NPR) Internships
The National Public Radio (NPR) Internships offer a wide range of opportunities for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on knowledge of the broadcasting industry.
With over 40 internship opportunities, NPR offers opportunities that fit with a wide variety of educational goals and individual strengths.
Internships are offered in the summer, fall and winter/spring terms. Deadlines are different for each term, and some internships are only offered during specific months.

In order to apply for an internship, applicants must be a graduate student, and undergraduate student, or have graduated within 12 months at the beginning of the internship.
Generally, interns will be required to work between 20-40 hours each week during a 8 to 10 week internship. Academic credit for interns is available provided appropriate arrangements are made with the intern’s college.
Interested applicants need to fill out an application form (available via the NPR website) and submit the application with a cover letter and resume.
Depending on the specific internship you are applying for, additional application procedures may apply (for example, you may need to include a writing sample for some internships.)
