EREF Fellowship Program
The Environmental Research and Education Foundations award several grants and fellowships each year to masters, doctoral, and post-doctoral students.
These fellowships are given to masters, doctoral, and post-doctoral students who are pursuing degrees in waste management research and education.
In order to be eligible for the fellowship, students must be a post-doctoral researcher, doctoral student, or masters student in the year they apply. Subsequently, students must also possess and demonstrate a concrete interest in waste management research.
These fellowships are awarded to graduate students who have a keen interest in waste management technology, education and research.
Not only are students chosen for the fellowship based on their credentials, but also on their potential contributions to the waste management field, as well as contributions to the scientific community as it pertains to waste management research.
To simplify matters, these fellowships will be awarded based on a number of factors. These include academic credentials, professional performance, potential for success in the field and how the applicant’s work contributes to the advancement of waste management science.
Fellowships range in monetary value and how much an applicant receives will be based on a variety of determining factors.
Awards will take into account how much full tuition costs at the applicants school, as well as any other funds the student may have received from other sources.
Doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships are usually up to $12,000 per year, distributed on a monthly basis and can be renewed up to two additional years. Masters fellowships are awarded up to $5,000 per year and can also be renewable for two years.
